Psalm 107:2

Another New Direction
Rachel Marlo

This week I’m just introducing another new direction I have for my articles. I have recently asked people to submit testimony stories, praise reports, or anything wonderful God has done in their life. I’ve received many wonderful stories that I am very excited to share with everyone. I was planning on already having stories being published but because life gets in the way sometimes I haven’t been able to spend as much time on this project as I would have liked so far.

The inspiration for this new direction is from Psalm 107:2, and it reads “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,”. The purpose for sharing what God has done in people’s lives is so that others may be encouraged, and to give glory to God for what he has done. I am very excited to begin this journey and start sharing all the amazing things God has done in some people’s lives.

So in cooperation with Soul Purpose, I will also be publishing a new issue of “Psalm 107:2” every week. The intention of this new direction is to show that God is still working, and doing good in this world that only choses to shine the spotlight on the bad. The stories I have received are amazing, and my hope is that when you read what God has done you will believe he can do the same for you.

I hope this makes you as excited as I am for this new direction, I am very excited with anticipation for what God has in store. I hope you all will keep an eye out for the first article launching next week.

If you would like to share your story I would love to hear it.

Find me on Facebook, I would love to hear from you.

Thank you all, and God bless.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
