Another 7 bands that will make it big in 2017
Joe Rasky

So 2 weeks ago, I did an article discussing 7 bands that will make it big or significantly impact 2017 in a positive way. This is once again 7 more bands that will either make it big or significantly impact the year of 2017. Before I begin I want to give a shoutout to twitter user @JulieAnn102794 for giving me suggestions about who should of made the list in the first 7 bands that will make it. So here are 7 more bands who will make it big or impact 2017 significantly.

1. Sylar

Band one this time hails from my area of the United States, East Coast! Sylar is a heavy metal band from Queens, NY which have already taken the scene by storm. The band formed back in 2011 with members Jayden Panesso, Thomas Veroutis, Jay Hu, and part-time members Michael Seghposs, and Stephen Dillaro. Soon after the bands formations, they released their first ep titled Cutting the Ties. Then in 2012, the members changed and remained permanent as of today as the members are now Jayden Panesso, Thomas Veroutis, Dustin Jennings, Travis Hufton and Miguel Cardona. In 2013, the band released their second ep titled Deadbeat. Soon after this ep the band went on numerous tours and were going to work on their first full length album. Then in 2014, the band released their first full album titled To Whom It May Concern. this full length album also brought two songs that are performed at almost every show titled Prescription Meditation and Live/Breathe. 2015 was a silent year for the guys as no albums but a lot of touring occurred as they were still getting their name out to the public. I had an honor to meet these guys back in March of 2016 and since then we have been good friends as I go to their shows to support them and help them get known more and more. In August of 2016, the band released their second full length album titled Help!. Since the bands formation in 2011, they have done numerous tours with big bands like New Years Day, Attila, Chelsea Grin, Emmure, The Word Alive, and Like Moths to Flames. For the bands 2017 is already looking good as they're playing multiple music festivals including Rock on the Range (sold out already), Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebillion, and Northern Invasion. So Sylar's 2017 outlook, New Music? Maybe no definite. Headlining Tour? Pretty Please. Warped Tour? I really want to see them kill the Monster Stage. Sylar's 2017 outlook looks really promising for these guys.

2. Too Close to Touch

Now from the Northeast, let's jump to the Southeast with Too Close to Touch. The band formed back in 2012-2013 and are from Lexington, Kentucky. The members are Keaton Pierce (vocals), Mason Marble (guitar), Kenneth Downey (drums), Thomas Kidd (guitar), and Travis Moore (bass guitar). In 2014, the band released their self-titled ep and soon broke onto the scene as an underground band. Also in 2014, the band signed with Epitaph Records (Falling In Reverse and Brine Me The Horizon) after an extensive label search the band was conducting. Then in 2015, the band released their first full length album titled Nerve Endings. After this album the band went on tours with I Prevail, Hands Like Houses, I the Mighty, Secrets, Crown the Empire, New Years Day and Hailing Sun. In March of 2016, the band was announced to play the Cyclops Stage throughout the entire Vans Warped Tour circuit with Against the Current, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, and Ghost Town. In 2016 the band released their second full length album titled Haven't Been Myself. Also in 2016, the band won the APMA's for best underground band. A couple of months ago on my Instagram, I mentioned these guys and Wage War would make it big in 2017. Guess I was right because the band announced their first ever headlining tour with co-headliners Waterparks. So Too Close to Touch 2017 overview, new music? Pretty please. Headlining Tour? Obvious yes with the announcement. Warped Tour? Really want to see them in this years but taking over one of the Journey's Stages. So 2017 for Too Close to Touch looks extremely promising.

3. Bad Seed Rising

Time to jump to Baltimore, Maryland with the next band the list Bad Seed Rising. These kids have taken the music scene by storm and Alternative Press named them a young band to watch. The band consists of Francheska Pastor, Mason Gainer, Louey Peraza, and Aiden Marceron. The reason the band are called "kids" by me because the band are not even in their 20's yet and have already made great success in the industry. On an interesting note, the bands lead singer Francheska does the screaming as well in certain songs. The band has been around since about 2012 when these members were in the young 10's. The band since then signed with Roadrunner Records (The Amity Affliction & Slipknot) and have eps and a full length album. The band made their official debut in 2012 with their ep titled 606, then came out with Charm City in 2014, and in 2015 came out with A Place called Home. Then in 2016, the band came out with their first full length album with Awake In Color. The band also had a song in the comedy-action movie Spy with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham, the bands song that was a part of the movie's soundtrack was Bad Seed Rising. Since then, the band has had multiple tours across with the United States and made the 2016 Vans Warped Tour on the Full Sail stage. The band has toured with I Prevail, The White Noise, My Enemies & I, Ice Nine Kills, and Chasing Safety. So Bad Seed Rising 2017 outlook. New album? Not sure, but maybe. More tours? YES! Vans Warped Tour? I think these kids can absolutely kill it on the Journey's stage or the Cyclops/Poseidon stage. Bad Seed Rising's 2017 outlook looks like a promising one for the band whose not even 20 yet.

4. Out Came The Wolves

Speak of record mates comes the band Out Came The Wolves. The band is currently signed with Roadrunner Records with Bad Seed Rising, The Amity Affliction, and Slipknot. This band comes from the Northern Mid-West in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These guys formed back in 2013 and has a bright future in the music industry as they are slowly gaining a lot of popularity. The members consist of Cameron Burns (vocals), Austin Brady (Guitar), George Shrouder (Guitar), Ervin Buljubasic (Bass), and Andy Hart (Drums). Finding their early works like eps are a needle in a haystack kind of hard to find stuff before Roadrunner Records signing them. But.... the band already had their debut album release titled Strange Fate. This is one band that I sadly do not know more about their past. But... I know enough to see that this band is passionate and have dedication to their music. The band has since then toured with Ice Nine Kills, Secrets, Sylar, and Cover Your Tracks. So Out Came The Wolves 2017 outlook. More music? Yes, please so that there's more knowing about them. New tours? Yes, I can see these guys tour with I Prevail or Ice Nine Kills again. Vans Warped tour? Hopefully either this year or next year the guys make it on the Full Sail stage at Warped Tour.

5. It Lives, It Breaths

Okay back to the Northeastern part of the United States comes It Lives, It Breaths. The band are from Providence, Rhode Island and have been a band since 2012. The band are a primary heavy metal band that can hopefully one day destroy some walls with heavy metal had hitters The Amity Affliction or Volbeat. The band consist of Kevin Lacerda, Kris Sobanski, Jordan Stevens and Anthony DiBiase. This band is an interesting taste in the heavy metal scene as I believe they're techno-heavy metal or electronicmetal because Kris Sobanski is the bands guitar player and programmer. The band has had multiple eps before their first full length album. The eps were their self intitled ep and another one titled We Come In Numbers. The song from that ep titled We Come In Numbers had a song titled that and featured David Escamila of Crown the Empire. Then in April of 2016, the band had their first full length album titled Silver Knights. The band since has toureed all over the United States with bands like Ice Nine Kills, Sirens & Sailors, Assuming We Survive and Farewell, My Love. So It Lives, It Breaths 2017 overlook. New music? Another possible but more than likely maybe. New tour? Most likely a yes. Would I see them live and meet them? YES! Vans Warped tour? I honestly believe this band can make Warped tour in the next year or 2 on the Full Sail stage or rock the Monster stage.

6. Cane Hill

Now lets go to the South in the United States with Cane Hill. These guys are from New Orleans, Louisiana and formed all the way in 2011. The band members consist of Elijah Witt, James Barnett, Ryan Henriquez, and Devin Clark. The band has slowly risen through the heavy metal scene but last year they made it big time and I think they will make it bigger in 2017. The band was signed onto Rise Records and have one ep and one album. The ep was a self titled ep that came out in 2015. But in 2016, the band released their first full length album titled Smile. Since their 2011 formation, the band has toured with some heavy weights in the heavy metal scene. The band has been supporting acts for Hollywood Undead, Oceans Ate Alaska, Stick To Your Guns, Emmure, Bullet For My Valentine and iconic rap duo Insane Clown Posse. In 2016, the band performed throughout the entire Vans Warped tour on the Full Sail stage. 2017 does not seem any different for this band because they're going to be on the Lets Get Abducted tour that is headlined by Attila with New Years Day, Bad Omens and them. So Cane Hill's 2017 outlook. New music? Maybe but once again unsure. New tours? they will be on a lot of supporting shows for big bands. Vans Warped tour? Hopefully this is a yes because I can see these guys tearing the Monster stage apart just for the hell of it.

7. Zoume

Everyone thinks I am doing bands that are signed for this list. But you are wron so now shut up. The last band hails from New York City and call themselves Zoume. Zoume formed back in 2014 and quickly picked up a big fan base from performing as locals for concerts. The band consist of members Christopher Tito, Brean Holguin, Jeff Freedman, and Farhan Tanvir. So music wise, first of all no they're not on Itunes but if you go to their bandcamp.com page you can download all of their music for free. They have had two eps that has come out during their tenure of the bands history. The eps were Storyteller, which this album included 2 singles titled Ember, and Hollow. Their second ep is avaliable on Itunes and Spotify which is titled Prophecy. From their 3 year tenure as a band, they have opened up for some of the biggest names in the industry and since gained more of a big opening to the music industry and a growing fan base. They have opened up for The Word Alive, Ice Nine Kills, Vanna, and Bad Case of Big Mouth. 2017 for this band has hit the biggest bang of their tenure as of today (January 7th), the band has SOLD OUT their We Dem' Boys show. So Zoume's 2017 outlook. New music? Yes, please. New tours? YES and give me one on an actual tour. Getting signed? I am really pushing for these guys to get signed by like Stay Sick records or Sharptone records. Van Warped tour? Give me a few dates of them on the Full Sail stage and watch them tear it a part. So I am pushing for these guys to make it big and I would proudly go see them and meet them and help them get their name out.

7 more bands have completed the crash course of becoming big or making a significant impact in 2017. Sadly, this will be the last instalment of bands making it big because I don't think I got another 7 in my head to think of. But take these 14 bands into consideration by listening to their music, go to their shows, meet the bands, buy their merchandise, and get their names out to the rest of the United States. So of you're signed or an unsigned band just have a positive outlook for 2017 because these 14 bands have had positive outlook.

StableDiffusion

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
