Looking to annoy anyone?! Absolutely torture them in under a minute?! Or even increase their productivity?! The solution to all of these things is to force them to listen to "Pink Fluffy Unicorns." That's right. Pink. Fluffy. Unicorns. Available in a one minute or ten hour loop depending on your needs!
I was introduced to this song by my professor while he was trying to get my class to be quiet and finish our work. To accomplish this, he played "Pink Fluffy Unicorns" on repeat for the entire class, refusing to turn it of until all of our papers were turned in. It was effective because the song annoyed some students more than others. The more annoyed students would yell at the ones who did not care and still had not finished writing. This is the same tactic a coach uses when the team loses. By creating an extra practice or making the team run, he or she pushes the slackers to improve. The ones pulling the team will get annoyed about always having to run extra.
I started using this song to increase my own productivity, played it in order to get my room clean. It was on a ten hour loop, and I told myself that I could not turn it off until my room was organized. Needless to say, this the quickest clean-up ever. I also started playing it in the Academic Commons or my dorm common room to get my friends to stop distracting me.
The best part of the video has to be the man that wants to hurt the unicorns. He looks so absolutely annoyed, you just have to sympathize with him. You also begin to feel the same way after the first few listens.
If "Pink Fluffy Unicorrs" does not work to annoy people or increase your productivity, you could try "I Know A Song That gets on Everybody's Nerves," but this is a last case scenario.
Good luck studying for finals!
