I don't watch much anime. In fact, a lot of people are often surprised when they realize how few series I've actually watched, because typically, I'll only watch the popular titles that everybody knows. However, although I'm a pretty casual anime fan, I do believe that whether you're an anime fan yourself or not, there are several anime series you should watch. The people who absolutely despise anime likely aren't reading this, so this article is primarily directed to those of you who have heard of anime, considered maybe watching some, but don't really know where to start or which series to watch. Below are some of the most popular anime series that I truly believe anybody can enjoy. To those of you who've seen the following series or that are avid anime fans, let me know what you think. Do you agree with my recommendations?

Anyways, without further ado... let us begin!

1) Attack on Titan

About one hundred years ago, out of nowhere, mankind came face to face with a new formidable enemy, titans, which forced them to retreat behind 50 meter walls in an attempt to survive. The motives of these man-eating beasts are unknown and how they came to be remains a mystery too. The story kicks off with the walls that had kept humanity safe from harms way for over a century, collapsing. As a result, titans flood into the city, devouring everything in their path of destruction.

Eren Yeager, the protagonist in "Attack on Titan," lost almost everything the day the titans broke through Wall Maria and overtook his home. The anime revolves around his journey after he vows to kill every last titan.

Many people are often introduced to anime through "Attack on Titan." I myself more or less was. The series is both intense and terrifying and will have you clinging to the edge of your seat throughout the entirety of the series.

2) Death Note

"Death Note" is revered by many as among one of the best anime's of all time because of how twisted and suspenseful the story is throughout the entirety of the series. In a world overseen by 'Gods of Death' or else known as 'Shinigami' in the series, out of boredom one decides to drop their death note into the mortal world for entertainment. The death note is a dangerous tool in which can kill anybody, so long as whomever possesses the death note knows the name of the individual they want dead.

Light Yagami, the protagonist throughout this series is the one who happens upon the death note on the ground one day and discovers its true power. As a genius and ambitious young man, Light takes it upon himself to cleanse the world of evil and becomes a sort of "God" of justice in the mortal world.

"Death Note" is another series like "Attack on Titan," that will keep you at the edge of your seat throughout the whole series. The many twists and turns in the story will have you binge watching this anime until you've finished it.

3) Studio Ghibli

You may have heard of the name Miyazaki whether or not you're familiar with anime and the company he created called Studio Ghibli in 1985. If you haven't, there's a good chance you may have then heard of some of the studio's masterpieces such as "Princess Mononoke" or "Spirited Away." If you've never heard any of those either, then take a look into the many great movies this studio has released, for each tell a fascinating tale that I can almost guarantee you will enjoy and appreciate whether or not you've ever watched much anime.

Although the list above was fairly short, if you haven't seen any of what I provided above, whether or not you've watched anime before, I encourage you check them out. Personally, I don't watch much anime myself, however, I was nonetheless able to fully appreciate the masterpieces in anime history above. If you have, let me know if you agree with me. Do you guys revere the anime's above as among the best nowadays too?

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
