Dear Ms. Lahren,

You do not represent the youth of today's society. You may represent a good portion of the conservative bloodline that runs deep in the US, but let me tell you why your words are so harmful to young people today. Why are you so against feminism? Are you aware of what feminism actually is? Here's the Webster Dictionary definition: "A doctrine advocating for women the same rights granted as men." Where in definition do you get "preachy?" By claiming feminists are a group of radicals who want to destroy men, you are telling young girls everywhere they are not equal. Also, while I fully admire your message to women on "being you" and saying "f you" to slut shaming, I find your agenda gets convoluted when you talk about guys and relationships. When talking about a woman's self worth why is a man or a relationship even included?

Also, Ms. Lahren, respectfully I must say, the "cross-dressers, satanists, socialists, and man-hating feminists" do not have it easier than the average conservative. Let's break it down. First off, I'm going to assume when you say "cross-dresser" you mean transgender. (I won't even go into the fact that the term cross-dresser is disgustingly inappropriate in this context). I ask you this; how many conservatives have been killed in the US for being conservative? Well, in just the past 2 years at least 41 people were murdered for being transgender. While it may be uncomfortable for your viewers to admit their conservatism, it's deadly for those who come out as transgender. Satanists should not even constitute as the same categories as the others.

You make a point; college students in this day and age are entirely more liberal, but socialist is still a problem word even in the liberal community because it is associated with communism. I won't get into why they are two completely different beings. Let me also correct you in the oxymoronic statement of "man-hating feminists." Feminists support the equality of all genders and therefore do not hate men. What you are referring to is a misandry. If you intend to call out a facet of society, you may want to check your word choice.

Also, where in any country in the world is being an immigrant, whether illegal or not, easy? You're coming to a country where you most likely do not speak the language, understand the customs, or have the stability a naturalized citizen does. Ms. Lahren, I want you to put yourself in the shoes of a person torn away from everything they know because their country is a war-zone or the conditions are desolate or because they don't have "liberty and justice for all." Now tell me why they shouldn't be allowed in our country because it seems to me that our ancestors found refuge here.

I find it a gross misconception that liberals "spew crap." I find nothing wrong with conservatives. If they have a feasible argument please by all means share that argument. Just don't expect me not to check you, and I will expect you to argue back- that is how a debate works. But when you slander and misnomer an entire group of people you are perpetuating the stereotype of ignorant angry conservatives.

So, here are my final thoughts for you, Ms. Lahren. I offer you this challenge: instead of criticizing unjust stereotypes, how about you research all you can and bring facts to the forefront of your argument?

Love,

A stereotyped criticizee

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
