Dear Reader,
Thanks for taking the time to read a little something that could be a helpful addition to your day, or a waste of your time—but I hope not.
I wanted to start off by saying I have more in common with you than you might think. If I were you, I would have also clicked this link because of my adventurous/curious side. So if it helps, think of me as a friend because maybe in real life we would be.
Next, I wanted to let you in on a little secret. It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to be different (not like the norm) and like weird things (like taking the bottom half off a cupcake and putting it on top of the icing so you have a cupcake sandwich) and have different beliefs (like being a Christian, Agnostic or Buddhist). You don't need to be like everyone else because you are you. And no matter how many times you've been told or who has told you differently, you are enough.
You know what else you are? Loved. Maybe some of you reading this don't believe me, and that's okay. You don't have to, but I hope some day you will. No, I may not know you, but I love you. And there are others who love you, I promise. They just might have a different way of showing it.
Lastly, I want to remind you that you have a place and a meaning. It's okay to have no idea what it is or where you belong yet, but you'll find it. And I'm guessing if you haven't found it and you feel like a lost puppy in the middle of nowhere, it's because you still have things to do in this world, and it's somewhere waiting for you to find it.
You're okay, we're okay, and everything is going to be fine. You are loved more than you know and have a perfect fit in this chaotic and sometimes messed up world.
Thanks for giving me the time of day,
A friend
