To The One Who Knows My Heartbeat From The Inside,

We haven't met yet, but I have seen you. We haven't had a chance to exchange words yet, but I talk to you every single day. We haven't had the opportunity to touch one another yet, but I do anxiously await the moment I get to hold you in my arms. And although we have some time left before you officially enter this world, I am already in awe at the fact that I love someone who is still so tiny in such a huge and immeasurable way.

I wasn't planning on becoming your Mommy quite yet. There are still a lot of things I need and want to accomplish in my life. There are still a lot of things I need to get in order. But in no way, shape or form are you a mistake. You are a blessing. And you are turning out to be the biggest one in Mommy's life so far.

I've seen you in my belly. You're still so tiny. I've seen your heartbeat, and it's so strong. You already sound like one tough cookie, and Mommy couldn't be more proud. The moment I first got to see you, tears automatically filled my eyes. There you were. So tiny. And there I was, officially realizing that you were my creation. And from that moment on, you have become the most important person in my life.

People say that you should have it all together and all figured out before you decide to bring a child into this world. I used to be one of those people. But a baby isn't ever something that anyone could ever be completely 100 percent prepared for. You aren't going to come with instructions. I'm going to have to learn certain things about you on my own. And while I may stumble over a few things along the way, Mommy promises that you will always be loved and cared for no matter what

You and I have a special bond already. You're the only person who knows what my heartbeat sounds like from the inside. You're the only person who truly knows Mommy from the inside out. Pretty special, huh? Therefore, Mommy will always be the one to protect you and guide you in life. I will always do everything in my power to give you the very best that life has to offer. You aren't even in this world yet, and you've already became my entire universe.

I anxiously await everything that is going to happen over these next several months. I would be lying if I said I wasn't terrified, but you are my driving force. You are my motivation. I can't wait to see what you are going to look like and how your personality turns out. I can't wait to see if you're going to be a doctor or a school teacher. I can't wait to see if you're going to wear pink or blue. You are going to give Mommy so many firsts in her life. You are going to give Mommy the best moments in her life.

I hope I turn out to be everything you could ever hope to have as a Mommy. I know there will be days where you resent me. I did the same thing with your Nanny. But at the end of the day, as long as you know that Mommy loves you unconditionally, then I consider it a job well done on my part.

I'm so in love with you, and you aren't even here yet. I'm so worried about you, and you haven't even given me anything to worry about. I care about you so much, and you're still growing inside of me. We have the rest of our lives together now. And I can't wait for it to begin. I love you baby.

Sincerely,

Mommy

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
