To the high school senior,

It is hard to believe you are in the home stretch you have about four months left of high school. I know you can't wait to get out of high school but don't let it pass you by too quickly. You still have a lot of memories to make. You have your senior prom, senior skip day, senior prank, graduation, senior week, and your last summer with your high school friends before you all go off to college or to do bigger and better things.

Four months can also seem like forever, but it is going to go by so fast. I miss it sometimes. So please take my advice and make it all last because you can never get these days back. Don't be scared to take a risk (a safe risk). Don't be scared to fall in love and honestly don't be scared to get your heart broken. If you are scared to do one or the other you might miss out on an once in a lifetime opportunity.

At prom don't stress the small things. The less you stress the more fun you will have. Take picture after picture because you will never have another senior prom. Do something fun for senior skip day. Don't just lay around and watch Netflix. It seems like it really is not that big of a deal but it is so much fun. At graduation take plenty of pictures. Take them with your friends and family because you will NEVER have that moment again and honestly you will never be in an area with all those people that you went to high school with ever again.

Don't be scared to cry. Because trust me, it is so emotional.

Do something for senior week. It does not have to be a big deal but go do something with your best friends from high school and have a blast and start your last summer altogether off right.

Get a job over the summer. I know working is the last thing you want to be doing the summer before you go to college. But take it from a college freshman, you will need all the money you can get.

Spend as much time with the friends that won't be going to college with you as you can. But also don't forget to spend some time with your family.

Most importantly do not leave anything unsaid that you will regret not saying in the future!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
