An Open Letter To The Girl Who Doesn't Realize How Special She is
THE ROMP AROUND

Hey there,

First of all, look at you. You have so much to offer this beautiful Earth. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. I see so much in you, you have so much more depth than you give yourself credit for. I see intelligence, both in regards to hitting the books and in regards to social intelligence and the ability to care about people unconditionally. I see a sense of humor and I hear a contagious laugh. I see motivation and the pride you take in always giving 110%, even if sometimes people are only giving you 80% back. I see your serious side, whether it is your competitive nature or your desire to be the most professional person in the room. I see your organization and your need to do everything you can to make life easier for others.

I see your exhausted eyes after a long day of feeling like you have to please everyone... these days I just can't help but to remind you that it is okay to make things about you sometimes. I see you admire art and all things around you while pretending as if you don't see me admiring you. I see all of these attributes, some days more than others... but every day I see beautiful hair that falls perfectly as soon as you take it out of the hair elastic that has kept it in a ponytail all day. I see glistening eyes when you turn to smile at me as if you already knew I was appreciating just how beautiful you are. On these days I also see a different side of your beauty, I see the stress in the furrow of your eyebrows that tells me you want to get everything right. I want you to stop for a second and realize that you, you my dear, are getting everything right. For that, I applaud you.

Your ability to read people blows me away and you want to be the best version of yourself is inspiring. You are so special. I have met many people in my life and nobody has brought out the best in me like you have. I always want to be so good for you, you have that effect on people. You don't give up on people who take you for granted and you never forget to patch up any holes in a friendship. You amaze me and you stop me in my tracks, always.

I want to tell you to never give up on yourself, and I want to tell you that you really are a person to be proud of. You are going to go so far in life but you will go even further if you recognize your worth and exactly how spectacular you sincerely are. Never settle. Never settle for anything less than the absolute best, keep that motivation high and keep pushing for the most life has to offer. Keep going, never stop being you because the you I know is unbelievable, breathtaking and unstoppable.

Best Regards and with the sincerest of hope that you read this and know that I'm talking to you,

xoxo

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
