Dear You,
You probably clicked on this article because you want some consolation, some reassurance. You are gloomy, and fed up, and just unsure of a lot of things that are going on in your life. Things are not going as well as you had imagined they would. You had a vision, goals, hopes. But right now, everything seems to be crumbling down to your feet before you, one by one. The inside of your heart feels hollow, and every time you take a deep breath, it feels as shallow as the first.
I am sorry that you are going through all of that. You do not deserve to, no one does. I am sorry that right now you probably feel desolate, that you feel as though there is no one else in this world who could possibly understand what it is that you are going through. I am sorry that you believe that you have no one to share your thoughts and grievances with because you do not want to trouble or burden others with your issues.
But let me just tell you two things: First, there are others who do care, about you, about whatever pickle you are in. You may be a mess right now, but there are people in your life who do not mind the tangle you are in. They will listen to you rant and vent and even see you cry. That might be the last thing you want them to see — to see you in such a vulnerable state. But you are allowed to feel the way you do, and you are allowed to express it. But once you have had the chance to express everything - remember this second thing: the greatest person you can trust and have faith in is yourself. Trust that you have and will make the right decisions. Trust that you can overcome the problems you are facing now. Trust and have faith in the fact that you can be strong, you can be resilient, if only you choose to persevere through all of this. You owe it to yourself, you need to prove to yourself that yes, in the face of hardship you do not run away from your own fears and troubles - you tackle them. Do that for yourself, tell yourself, show yourself that everything you are going through right now is all just part of an experience - something you have and will learn from. After all, how else can you appreciate all of the good in your life if you do not once in awhile face the bad and the ugly?
