Dear Self,

It is perfectly okay if you do not have everything figured out right now. Use this time as a way of finding yourself again. Focus on the important things instead of the irrelevant things. Go visit family, take a walk, or just relax at home. You still have plenty of time to figure everything out. This is only the beginning of it all.

I am going to give you some advice. I know you probably won't take it but it is worth a shot, right?

First, stop worrying about people who are not worried about you. Some people are not in your life for a reason, and you just need to accept that. Stop stressing yourself out over it when they couldn't careless about your well being. You deserve to be surrounded by nothing but people who love you and care for you. Those people who couldn't care less about youdon't want to see you do well, and only wish to see you fail. That is why they are not your friends, and you need to let them go. You will make new friends in due time, but for right now, focus on family and the people that love you.

Second, start using the "Five By Five" rule. Which is, if something isn't going to be relevant in five years from now, don't stress about it for more than five minutes. Start using this rule for everything that bothers you throughout the day. Someone says something nasty about you on social media? Use the rule. Something doesn't go your way? Use the rule. By using this rule it is a simple way of keeping your days more stress free. Who doesn't want stress free days? Utilize this rule as much as you possibly can.

Third, stop trying to please everybody. In your lifetime, not everyone will be happy with your decisions and your actions. But, what is most important is that YOU are happy with your decisions and actions. It isn't everybody else's life, it is yours. Instead of constantly worrying about what everyone else will say about it, just do it. If it is going to make you happy, literally just do it. Your life should not consist of what makes other people happy, but simply what makes YOU happy.

Last, stop being so hard on yourself. I know this sounds cliche, but everyone truly does make mistakes. It is okay to slip up sometimes. The only thing that matters is how you bounce back from it. If you fall down but get back up, that is okay. But, if you fall down, and stay down, that's when it is not okay. You do not have to be perfect all the time. It's okay to have bad days, everyone has them occasionally. But, it is important to make sure you do not have a bad day everyday. It's especially okay to not be happy all of the time. Everybody has emotions that they go through on a daily basis. They are apart of life.

I hope you read this and take the advice I have given you. You are strong, and you can and will do this.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
