Dear RAs,
First off, thank you for allowing me to live in a dorm. If it were not for you all, there wouldn’t be anyone to supervise us and we would not be able to live here. I recognize that your job is not always the easiest, most glamorous, or the most fun, but I appreciate you for doing it. I’m sure it’s not fun having to be responsible for us and that we don't always make it easy on you. As the first semester of this year comes to a close, I would like to thank you for all that you have done.
Thank you for providing food for us on a somewhat regular basis. Saving us from having to eat yet another meal in the dinning hall (which at this point has gotten very tiresome). This also has saved us from wasting money on going out to get said food, which we appreciate because we are all #brokecollegekids .
Thank you for hosting fun, free events for us that we would not think of doing or wouldn’t be able to afford to do without you. Not only has this helped us bond as a floor/unit, it’s also introduced us to some of our closest friends. Special thanks for when you paired us up with one of the floors from the all girls dorm... that was nice.
Thank you for hiding the scissors from that one girl when she was drunk and wanted us to cut her hair... that would have ended badly. In fact, thanks for intervening in situations like that on a regular basis. Thank you for being cool and not calling the cops on that one kid who was lying on the bathroom floor on his birthday... he really was just tired.
Thank you for letting us know what was going on around campus. Thanks for helping us get more involved and encouraging us to have a social life that doesn’t revolve around senior house parties.
Thank you for telling us which professors to avoid taking. Seriously #clutch. Thank you for always knowing who we need to talk to when we needed to drop a class or change majors. You’ve basically saved me from failing out of college or having to spend another semester not having my life together.
Although when we first met you, we were afraid that all you’d want to do is get us in trouble and write us up for being too loud on a Wednesday night, you are actually pretty chill.
Also, thanks for making those Door Decs. They must have taken forever.
