An Open Letter To Panhellenic

First, I would like to thank you, for choosing me to represent my chapter, and all the chapters this summer. Without you I would not have given up my letters for one of the best times I have ever had. Through the course of a summer you took girls from every chapter on campus and unified us, for once we all wore the same letters. You gave me friends that before this summer I would have never gotten to meet or would have ever been able to talk to. You taught me, that there is more to Greek life then just my chapter, that it takes all the chapters together to make a strong greek system. You placed PNMs in my group that each have a special place in my heart no matter what letters they ended up in. You took a group of 31 woman and gave them a bond.

To the panhellinc members and other gamma chis I served with,

Thank you for 2 of the funniest weeks in my life. Y'all pushed me out of my comfort zone rather y'all know it or not. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I enjoyed getting to spend almost every minute of the day with y'all, and getting to live out of a hotel for a week.

To my Gamma Chi group to every PNM,

Thank y'all for trusting me. Thank you for sharing your smiles,tears and laughs with me. I was so happy i was there when you started one of the best chapters in your life. Seeing each one of you open your bid card and be able to run to meet your new sisters is something that i will never forget. No matter what if you ever need me ill be here for you.

To my chapter,

Thank you for allowing me to leave the chapter and step out of a summer . I never knew how grateful i was for y'all until i wasn't in our lettes. Stepping back and looking in from the outside gave me a whole new love for the chapter and all my sisters. Thank you for taking me back with loving arms as I ran up the lane, and not judging me when I ugly cried about being back with y'all.


To any girl who is thinking about being a Gamma Chi,

Apply. It is the best feeling in the world seeing girls find in each of the chapters what you found in yours. You make some of the best friends, and best memories. Warning: It isn't always easy to see your sisters all together while you are outside the house, or not being able to wear your letters.But this time isn't about you or your chapter its about the PNMs, they are making their decision, and you don't want to affect that by being shellfish so remember that.

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
