Dear Friend,
I was on Pinterest the other day and seen some of the neatest little baby outfits. Baby style has always been so innocent, hasn’t it? I am really digging this new modern twist of style. Of course, bows and overalls are so cute, but none the less, changing the scene and buying baby duck boots are the new rage. Oh, I haven’t forgotten my manners, how have you been?
From what I can tell via your Instagram, your baby is the light of your life. I dig it, I swear. Honestly, it’s just a little weird considering we were just clubbing a year ago. No offense of course, but damn girl you just grew a human inside of you. I don’t mean to get technical about it; I understand it has been a total change of perspective. Heck, I can’t even begin to imagine becoming a father right now. I’m sure you have these conversations a lot with other people. I won’t take too long, so let me be sappy for one minute.
I am so proud of you. You have absolutely grown up in a blink of an eye, and you are doing wonderful things. Your child is gorgeous, and is entirely blessed to have you as their momma. Being a parent is truly the most important role you will have in this life. Although you may be young, you are wise. I have so much faith in you, and want you to know how truly blessed I am to call you a friend.
Being a parent is a tough job. You mold a human being; you teach someone how to live. It’s fascinating to me. Just the way society responds and acts about parenthood. Doesn’t it you? We can both agree that being a young mother comes with some anxiety. For some reason there is this negative stigma on young mothers, people always are so quick to judge. They instantly think they know what is best for your life, like your judgements aren’t good enough for you. Sure I didn’t beg you to have a child; I lost one of my weekend warriors. But, pity the fool who is pessimistic. Your baby is a blessing, and you make motherhood look beautiful. You know, people are always going to talk whether you’re doing bad or good. At least your baby is gorgeous, so that should give them something to talk about.
It’s weird how we use to sit and wonder what being a parent would be like, and here you are; a mom, but I will call you a MILF because you are one. Trading in beer bottles for baby bottles actually seems worth it. You make it seem worth it, and I’ve never been too keen about your decisions. However, you can’t say that I have never supported you. I am nowhere near having a baby soon, so you can start breathing again. I’ve got a few more places to visit in my life before that of course. Until then, expect me to spoil your child with love. I hope they become awesome, just like their mother. Kathryn Stockett said it best: “You is Kind, You is Smart, You is Important".
