As we all get older, we realize how much life changes. You try to remind yourself of the constant people in your life, to keep yourself grounded while your world is changing around you. For me the two things that remain constant are my older sisters.
My sisters are more than my siblings, they are the most important influences in my life. I have always looked up to my sisters. Whether it was for advice or even just to talk to them (they got the tall gene). I idolized every little thing they would do. They are closer in age and were always able to do more together. They were able to go to the movies or the mall with their friends and I was too young to tag along. While I was jealous of them for being older and having more freedom, I learned from the mistakes they have made.
With us all being in our 20's, life for us as a family has started to change. I am still a college student and busy with school, while both of my sisters are starting their careers and moving out of the house. No matter where we are, the two of them are only a phone call away and I feel lucky to have that.
I have always been told I am a mix of my sisters, whether it is personality or looks. Without my sisters I wouldn't be me. While one gives me a bubbly personality the other one gives me the backbone that I need to get through life.
You might say I'm biased when I say I have the two best sisters around, but I truly am blessed to have such beautiful smart humans behind me. I will forever be thankful for what they have taught me, for all the times they protected me, and for all the future times they will be there. Thank you both for everything
