Dear Seniors,
I'm honestly not even sure where to start with this. How could I possibly put into words how much each of you meant to me or even just try to explain the effects that you had on me throughout the time we shared.
First, to my seniors that I knew before you started your journey to college; especially to my sister. I am so proud of each and every one of you and I love to see how you have grown into adults throughout the past four years. I can still remember walking down the hallway as a freshman and being so nervous that I may run into someone and they would try to talk to me. I'm not sure why that was something I was worried about since you were in the same grade as my sister and it was very unlikely you would say anything mean to me. I'm honestly just so amazed to see how far some of you have gone in your college years and how you've transformed from the person you used to be in our small hometown. I hope that I will be able to watch you continue to pursue your dreams after you finish your college careers.
Now, specifically to my sister - I will never be prouder of anyone than I am of you. You are the most sincere person I have ever or will ever know. I know these last few weeks have been stressful, but finish off strong. I know the next few months and what comes in the future may be scary to you, but no one is more capable of going out into this big world and being successful than you. I can not wait to watch you grow, even if I need to do it from afar. You are an amazing person, and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished at your time at SLU. I love you always.
Next, to the seniors I met because I would visit my sister at her university. The most important thing I want to do is to thank you for the impact you made on my sister; even if you made her time more stressful I know that it helped her grow. If you were one of her great friends, that I love so much, thank you for being such great friends to her. I felt a lot better knowing that my sister was surrounded by such amazing people that could support her when I was unable to. To all her roommates over the years that I had the opportunity to know, thank you for putting up with all her messiness and seeing that it does not change how amazing she is. To the boy that loves my sister and makes her so happy, thank you for being someone who lets her know how wonderful she is when she doubts herself. I hope that I am able to follow your stories after they end at SLU as well. Good luck with everything you do in the future Giancarlo, April, Judy, Laurel, Anna, and Emma.
To the seniors that are currently preparing to graduate from my high school. Wow. Obviously with one particular person in mind, I can not believe that you are graduating! I remember playing with you at our babysitters when we were just little kids. I know you are most likely excited to head off to college in the fall, but I want you to know that if you change your mind and get nervous that I will always be here to talk to you. I'm so proud of the person you've become over the years and I can not wait to see all you accomplish in this new chapter of your life.
Finally, to all my Wells seniors. Thank you for all the ways you've impacted me, even if you did not know you did. Watching the way you interact with others, or the way you were motivated to follow your dreams, or how you showed your love for Wells effected my freshman year even if you had no intention of doing so. Thank you for being so welcoming and inviting to have the freshman join the aspects of Wells that you grew to love so much. Thank you for helping mold Wells into the place that I want to call home for the next three years.
To the seniors, I got closer to and was able to have the opportunity to know thank you so much for being you. Thank you for the bright smiles I would get every time we passed each other. Thank you for the loud bubbly hellos whenever I would see you. Thank you for treating me as a friend and not as an annoying freshman. Thank you for everything you did to make my freshman year as amazing as it was. To my PB seniors, I can not thank you enough for how much you changed my experience at Wells from the first semester to the second. I would have never imagined loving this place as much as I do now at the end of my first semester. Thank you for being so dedicated to the club and thank you for setting such an amazing example for me.
Lastly, thank you to my Chan Chan. Thank you for being my big sister at Wells. Thank you for everything you've done for me. Thank you for creating such a strong bond in such a short time. Thank you for being as excited about our friendship as I am. I can not imagine Wells College without you and I honestly do not want to. I know that you are going to be an amazing History teacher and I can not wait to hear about all your accomplishments in the future. I love you always.
