Dear Roommate,
Where do I begin? No matter how cliche this all sounds, you really are the best roommate I could have asked for. Not only have we shared a room together the past eight months, but we have shared so much more. We have shared the ups and downs that college brings, the drama of housing, the stress of school, a bathroom, a big stuffed sheep named Shawn and so many memories we will never forget. I don't know how I would've gotten through this year without you.
I enjoyed getting to spend Sunday nights watching "Once Upon a Time" with you. There's no one I'd rather fangirl over Captain Hook with, get angry at Mr. Gold and Zelena with, or watch Henry go through puberty with than you. I am so glad I binge-watched this show last summer so that we could have this time together.
I am grateful for the times we've laughed together, which have been frequent. We both love to laugh, and we both make each other laugh a lot. Those moments always put me in a good mood. I am extremely thankful that we became such good friends this year. I can't imagine living in Kuhlman 638 with anyone else.
You inspire me. The way you dedicate yourself to your schoolwork and your classes makes me wish I had your drive and determination. You should be proud of yourself for that. I know I am. The way you worked your a** off to bring your O Chem grade up last semester shows true commitment to your studies. You also inspire me in your philosophy of life. You know, at the end of the day, no matter what, everything will work out and God will figure things out. Whenever we were dealing with something, you always reminded me that it was going to work out the way it was supposed to. I am so grateful I have you to remind me of that from time to time.
It seems like just yesterday we moved in for the first time getting ready to start our sophomore year of college. Now, as we finish up the last two weeks of school before we say goodbye for the summer, I realized how much I'm going to miss not being able to see you every day for a few months. You are a big part of my life now that we are roommates, and it will be weird going home in a few weeks knowing I'm not going to get to hang out with you every day.
We have become pretty close this year, and I can't wait to see where our friendship will go in the next two years of school. You are one of my best friends here at school, and I don't think I would be the same person without you as a friend and roommate. You have made my college experience so much better, and I am excited to see what the next two years has in store for us!
Love,
Your Roomie
