An Open Letter To My Professors Who Have Left My College

Since my time at college, I have known several professors and administration who have left to continue their careers elsewhere. I would like to take the time to acknowledge these people for touching my lives in the many ways they did.

Thank you for your guidance.

You have all been there for me at my lowest points in my college career. You have shared with me your knowledge and experience to help me when I have felt lost, and for that I am forever grateful.

Thank you for your support.

You have all supported me when I was struggling to complete assignments or other responsibilities, because i have a knack for putting to much on my plate. You have helped me to keep myself balanced, and that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Thank you for your lessons.

Whether intentional or not, you have all shaped me into the teacher I aspire to be. Your passion for your work, your patience with your students, and your determination to have all of your pupils succeed, are qualities that I will strive to achieve in my classroom one day.

Thank you for your reassurance.

You have all convinced me time and time again, that I can do whatever I set my mind to. Every time I have felt like giving up, you were all there behind me to cheer me on.

Thank you for continuing your life journey.

Of course I never wanted any of you to leave, but the fact that all of you had the strength to leave something comfortable to continue on and accomplish more amazing things, is absolutely inspiring. You will all be able to go out and touch more people and shape more lives, just as you have done for me, and that is the greatest gift I could give the world. You have all taken a leap of faith to continue on to the next chapter of your lives, and I only hope I will be brave enough to seize opportunities the way you all have.

I know it is not goodbye, only a see you later... but until then, good luck with all of your future endeavors, and thank you, thank you, thank you, for all that you have done for me. So I leave you with this, "If you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
