I want to thank you for everything you have done for me. You have truly helped me become a better person. I am the person I am today because of you. Your drive and ambition along with having everyone's best interest in mind is what I look up to most. You always having something funny or clever to say and know how to brighten my day no matter what.
You have sacrificed everything for me. For fifteen years you were a stay-at-home-mom, devoting every second of your day to mine and my brother's best interests. You ran us around to all of our events from play practice when we were little to sports as we got older. You stay up with me on nights when my migraines seem to be too much to handle. You bring me food when I work long hours at my job because I haven't eaten all day. Everything you've done is out of the pure kindness of your heart.
You went back to work, doing the hardest thing imaginable, leaving your kids at home. You knew you had to work because of certain circumstances and have done your best to support the household. Somehow, you still manage to make it to all of our extracurricular activities to cheer us on.
No matter what you always support us with whatever we do. You supported me through thirteen years of dance and now you're supporting me as I endure my senior year of high school. You're always there to calm me down when I get stressed and cheer me up when I get down. Even though sometimes you know nothing about what's going on as far as college, you do your best to understand and help out in any way possible, which I greatly admire.
You are seriously the coolest mom ever! You let me get a tattoo (actually two) because as you say, "It's better me knowing and going with you than getting it done in a stranger's basement". And then there's the time when you let me get my tragus pierced and you got it done with me! Although you did make me go first because you were scared, you still did it.
There are many great memories between us. From you tripping and falling and rolling down a hill to binge watching Grey's Anatomy together. I will never forget these times where I've never felt closer to anyone.
You are my role model and I couldn't imagine having anyone else as a mom. Even though we have had our ups and downs, you've never given up on me and I'll never give up on you. You are the strongest woman I know and I am so proud of you for doing all that you have done. Here is to many more years of us annoying each other and many more laughs and great memories.
