Most of us have friends that live in another city, state, or even country. Having a long distance relationship with one of your friends can be tough because you have to work that much harder to keep it thriving. However, if you have friends like mine the extra work is totally worth it.
Dear Long Distance BFF,
I know we both get busy which can make our phone calls and texts few and far between. I want to remind you how much I care about you even if that happens. If you need me, I'm only a text or phone call away. I want you to never forget that. I will NEVER be too busy for you. I might be on a time crunch but I will always be there for you. You mean the world to me and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I want you to know not having you here with me sucks. It is the worst. Most people don't get me like you do, simply because I haven't been friends with them as long. It is hard not having someone to go out to dinner with on a random Tuesday just because we both haven't been to Applebee's in weeks. However, when we are reunited it is the absolute BEST! I love having dates with you to catch up on all the things I have missed. I love giggling about when we used to live in the same area, even if our time together is short, it is my favorite.
I think the best part of our friendship is our ability to pick up right where we left off. I love that even if we haven't seen each other in six months and haven't had a full conversation in three months when we are together, it feels like no time has passed at all. There is something truly special about our ability to go from being normal functioning members of society to being able to finish each others sentences and acting like complete fools with each other in milliseconds.
Thank you for being you. You never let me down and are always there for me. I do not know what I would do without you. Thank you for answering your phone when I am upset about something. Thank you for reading and answering my sporadic texts about something strange things that only you would understand. Thank you for not screenshotting my bizarre Snapchats. Thank you for always listening to my stories about people you have never met. Thank you for always making time for me. Thank you for coming to visit me when we are apart. Thank you for always letting me crash at your house, also.
Love Always,
Your LDBF
