Dear Pals,
I know that I may punch, attack and even gently bully you, but I really do love you guys. There I said it. Don’t expect to hear it again for a while. Even though I don’t show it, I really appreciate all of you.
Thank you guys for being like brothers to me. I always knew I could count on all of you to brighten my day and make me laugh until my stomach ached. Thank you for always being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on, a person to rant to or even just some brotherly advice. No matter how much you guys like to get on my nerves I know that deep down you really care. I never really had a group of friends before you guys where I felt like I could go to them and tell them absolutely anything and not be judged. Teased, yes, but never judged.
Thank you for all the amazing adventures we've been on together. From half apps by the mall to driving all the way to Montauk for the day I never thought I would have that much fun. I wouldn’t trade our drives all over Long Island for anything. When I’m stuck at school missing my group of weirdos I know I can look forward to our own little mini adventures. While we all know there is absolutely nothing to do on the island at three in the morning, we somehow manage to do something utterly stupid that ends up creating the best memories.
I know we only became close at the end of our senior year at high school, but I am so glad I found the gaggle of you. We made the best out of our time together and had one hell of a summer. Even though I joined your "squad" a few years too late I can't help but forget that we have only been close friends for almost a year (happy almost friendiversary). Also, sorry for the horrible first impression back in freshman year.
Thank you for all the inside jokes, late night hang outs, and seemingly never ending journeys to find an ice cream shop that was open past midnight. Now that I’ve expressed my adoration for all of you, I can go back to telling you I hate you and punching you in the arm when you say something stupid.
Thank you for all the amazing memories I have to look back on. I can't wait to tell your kids about all the stupid things you've done.
P.S. Thank you for keeping up the joke that my head is bleeding even though my hair was only red for a month over the summer.
