To the wonderful woman who is going to change my life forever,
First of all, thank you for giving me the extraordinary opportunity to call myself your Little. I know you’re going to change my life in a heartbeat. I hope I won’t be too much for you to handle, and I hope you’ll one day see me as your best friend. I’m excited for all that we’re going to do and to see what we’re capable of together. There are some things you should know about me that might help you know what you’re getting yourself into.
First order of business, I am capable of crying… a ton. Some may even call me a water fountain. I know that you’ll always be my shoulder to cry on as I will be to you. We’re going to get through some of the roughest days and sometimes it can get bad. I promise I’ll always be here for you regardless of how sticky the situation is and how much you push me away if you do so. I’ll always have your back and it is so important to me that no matter what crap we go through, we’ll always remain sisters. Yes, sisters fight, but we’ll always love each other through the good, bad and ugly.
Secondly, I’m going to need to look up to you for guidance and advice. College is going to be extremely challenging for me, but hopefully with the help from you, I can make it through the years to come. You’ve experienced this school longer than I have, and maybe you can give me all the advice you have to offer. I think a Big should set an example for their Little and be able to mentor them. I know you’ll be great with all of your tips and tricks. I’m so excited to learn from you. Feel free to hit me with some advice on guys who I should watch out for or how to study for my finals without slamming my head into a desk. You’re going to shape me into a better person and impact my life forever.
Lastly, I hope that we’re going to be so close that you’ll actually feel like a real sister to me. I have a love for midnight food runs and spontaneous adventures. Get ready because you’re in for a wild ride! I hope that you and I can make memories that will last a lifetime. We’re going to have the time of our lives when we have each other. Even with our hectic schedules, I want to make it so important that we never lose our spark, and we always make a little time for each other. I don’t mind a coffee run for a few minutes, but as long as I get to spend time with you, it will be a memory that I want to make with you. I’ll go out of my way to make sure that you never feel like I have left you or forgotten about you. I want you to feel wanted by me because trust me, I will want you in my life more than anything. I’m just so excited for the day that I can call you my Big. You already mean the world to me, and we aren’t even official yet. Here’s to the next few years.
