Dear friends,
First of all, I’d like to thank you for being your beautiful funny selves. You were there through the all awkward stages of high school; bad haircuts, first boyfriends, and growing up. You’re the girls I know I can always turn to, even if we haven’t talked in a while we can pick up right where we left off. You’re the gals that are always down to lay out by a pool all day and literally do nothing. Just being in each other’s company is enough. Sleepovers are still a thing and ice cream is a must. I can always count on you to appreciate the things in our town that we can’t get anywhere else like boutiques and restaurants. I’ve always got dinner dates too. Whether we get dressed up and have reservations or getting gas station French fries at 1 am there’s no one else I’d rather spend that time with.
Thanks for always being around to reminisce on past experiences. The good, the bad, and the omg-so-bad-how-did-i-get-myself-into-that-one moments. (and for maybe still getting into them with me too). Spending time with you is never dull, I can always count on you to be able to rant and gossip too. It’s always fun to catch up with all of you no matter we’re doing. Reminiscing together never fails to be full of gut-busting laughter, reliving good and bad memories and trying to figure out what we were thinking. I doubt that we’ll ever figure that out, but it’s okay since I have you to laugh with.
You’ve been around for a while now and you know things about me that no one else does. Favorite foods, movies, the things that make me cry, the things that make my day and vice versa. We know how to support each other and that something is up when we aren’t texting back like we normally do. Even if we’re miles apart we still know what’s up. With you, phone calls are the norm because why waste time texting when you can call or FaceTime instead, because let’s be real seeing face reactions is better than getting a text back. And did I mention the snapchats? The ugliest ones are reserved for my lovely ladies at home.
I love and cherish the fleeting time I get to spend with you in the three months we’re home for summer; goofing around, getting to hear about your new lives in college, making new memories, and simply hanging out. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us; let alone the rest of our lives.
Lots of love,
Your friend from home
