When I decided I was going to move out of state for college, like most freshman, I was extremely nervous about making friends. I did not know anyone else from my high school going to the same college as me. When I met you, my fears subsided. My mom always told me that you meet your best friends in college, and like always, she was right.
It didn't take long for us to become close. You became more than my bestfriend, in fact, you became the whole package deal. You are my best friend, my sister, my (at one point in time) roommate all in one. I know people always joke about being the two old ladies causing trouble in the retirement home, but I think that really will be us
I just wanted to take some time and thank you for everything you do for me. I know we always send each other best friend articles with the caption "this is so us", but it is hard to find one to exactly describe us. Every friendship is unique, and that is what makes it so great!
Ultimately, I thought you deserved your own personal one. Here it goes:
Thank you for listening to my countless rants.
Thank you for being a shoulder to cry on, as well as a partner in crime.
Thank you for the dance parties when we were stressed, and for sending me quotes to cheer me up.
Thank you for standing up for me at all times, even though you are much smaller, you always did seem to be my little bodyguard.
Thank you for giving me boy advice, and then comforting me when I did not follow it.
Thank you for getting me through all those crazy nights (we never did have a normal night together).
Thank you for bringing out my wild side.
Thank you for taking care of me, always. You never failed to be there when I had a rough day, or to hold my hair back when I was sick.
Most importantly, thank you for sharing my love of Pizza Hut and Coca Cola.
In all seriousness, thank you for everything. You push me to be the best I can be, and you support me in all of my good (and bad) decisions. You are an incredible person, and you deserve the world. I love that I don't even have to explain myself to you, because you just already understand. I am not sure if soulmates are even a real thing, but if they are, you would definitely be the friendship version.
Remember,
I keep you safe, and you keep me wild.
