Since we were little kids, we always had a cool relationship. Even though you're 10 years older than me, we're alike in so many ways that is it almost scary. We share the same sense of humor, we both quote movies so much that people can't tell they're actually from movies. We both share a love for reggae music and going to as many concerts as we can. We both get overwhelmingly hangry to those around us. These are just some of our similarities, the list could go on and on.
As a kid, you, of course, were much older than me and had different things on your agenda with your friends and school, but no matter the age difference, you still made time to spend time with me and play games with me. You included me with your friends and you always wanted to protect me, like you do now. You took me to your band practices, you let me play the Playstation with you and your friends, even though I was far from good.
You have always have wanted to the best for me in everything that I do. We may argue and you may say things to me that I don't want to hear, but it is always in my best interest. And for that, I could not thank you more. You have always seen the best in me and have always pushed me to reach my highest potential and beyond that.
Even though you live relatively far away, I know you are always just a phone call away.. because you're the worst at answering back to texts. I couldn't imagine my life without having such a great big brother like you. I have always looked up to you and admired the hard work that you do and have always done. You have taught me so much and I'm sure you don't even realize it.
You've taught me the importance of college and the steps to take to be successful in my career. You have taught me that patience is always the key, you have taught me to enjoy the time I am living in because you will soon grow up and not be able to enjoy the activities you were once able to.
The loss of our sister really put our relationship into perspective for me. It made me appreciate you and all of the things you have done for me so much more than I could have ever imagined. I am just so thankful and blessed that you have always been such a good example and role model for me.
I just want you to know how proud I am of you and the paths of life you have chosen along the way. It is such a joy to watch you grow up into this amazing human being and make big steps every day of your life. It's so neat that while you've watched me grow up since I was a baby, I also get the opportunity to watch you grow, and to now be able to grow right along side of you.
