Dear Unbiological Sisters (a.k.a. my BFFs),
Let's just take a moment to thank our parents because without them, I would not have been blessed to have you in my life. So, thanks Mom and Dad for making life-long lasting friendships throughout your childhood, basically forcing my first friends upon me when I was born. Without you, I would not be able to say I have three nonbiological sisters.
Now, to my BFFs.
Thank you for accepting me since day one. Even though when we had playdates at the age of two and I was never too fond of sharing, you still wanted to play with me. That means a lot.
Thank you for sticking out the awkward phases in life with me and giving me reasons to look back at them now and laugh. Middle school was no joke, especially when we thought coloring on our legs with Sharpie would be a good idea.
Thank you for always being down to eat. We eat way more than we should and then laugh about it. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Thank you for not living in the same town as me. This means I can say whatever I want about whoever I want and you'll have no clue who I am talking about. It also means you'll take my side and hate the same people I do, which is always a nice feeling.
Speaking of distance, thank you for always being a text, phone call or FaceTime away. When I feel as though no one is there for me, I know I can turn to you, and obviously, you know the same is true.
Thank you for the wonderful advice. Whether it's about boys, family, friends, school, or just life in general, you always seem to know what to say and I could not be more grateful for that.
Thank you for the countless laughs and endless memories. Even thinking about some of our memories makes me giggle. Every time I'm with you, I can't stop smiling. You make me happy.
Thank you for being part of my family. My parents and siblings love you and think you are one of us (because you basically are).
Thank you for allowing me to be myself. You know I'm crazy yet you still love me for who I am.
Thank you for the future we will have together. I look forward to our weddings, being each others' bridesmaids, and then making our kids be BFFs.
But most of all, thank you for being you. I could not imagine life without you. I am so blessed to call you my best friends and say you're basically my sisters. I cannot wait to continue to watch you ladies grow and succeed, whether it's being a nurse, a film director in Hollywood, or a CEO of a company. I know you will do great things. I love you.
Love always,
Your Unbiological Sister & BFF
