Fix your horrible ways now.

Dear Mediacom,

I am usually a nice guy and I have worked with you in a polite manner for a long time, but I think I just have to be straight up with you guys. You, as public servers, a cable company, and an internet provider, just suck. If it takes you almost an entire week to fix your internet server and phone lines, you need to either hire better IT or just go bankrupt. Because of you, I am now behind on school work and articles. You guys are lucky for basically being the only internet provider in my area. Only other one is AT&T, which is horrible because satellite isn't particularly good in an area that is prone to thunderstorms. I am going to warn you guys. Huntsville is getting Google Fiber in whole by 2019. When that comes, you will lose a huge amount of customer support. Thinking of customers, your guys' service to customers is absolutely horrid. Every time my parents call, they are usually put on hold for at least 15 minutes before an actual human can get to them. When someone does pick up, 60% of the time the person on the phone is either super rude or have no clue what they are doing. That goes to the next point. We have to change out cable boxes 3 or 4 times a year. When we do get it switched out it is a used box and we anticipate having to turn it back in in a few months. In fact we are about to turn one back in as there is a stutter about halfway through each and everyone of them. I would like to enjoy the show all the way through and not only the first half. In closing, you guys have 1-3 years to fix up everything about your company before my family switches to Google Fiber and some other available cable company.

Thank you for reading and please take this into consideration,

Customers that have been loyal for 2+ years

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
