Anyone who knows me knows I love Birkenstocks. Like wear them everyday, run into a burning building to save them, own three pairs kind of love. We're talking LOVE. As far as I'm concerned, Birks are the best shoe to ever walk on this earth. Maybe it's my Colorado roots, but from the second I slipped on my first pair of Birks, I knew I would never go back to any other inferior shoe. Since then, my collection has grown and I've sported several Birk tan lines. So for all of your Birkenstock lovers (and especially all you soon-to-be Birk converts), I've complied a list of reasons why Birks are the best. Let's call it an ode to Birks:

. They're SO comfortable

To prove how comfortable these shoes are let me give you a quick list of all the things I've done while wearing them:

-walked 5+ miles around campus

-worked all day at summer camp

-embarked on several spontaneous hikes (I told you I'm from Colorado right?!)

-explored every monument in DC (including the walk to and from the metro)

While I will admit they take a little bit to break in, the comfort they provide is actually incredible.

2. They're extremely versatile

Birks can be worn with a T-shirt and Nikes AND with a dress. Why would you need any other pair of shoes?

3. They look amazing with socks

Getting a little chilly out? Show off all your cool socks while wearing your Birks for added style.

4. They last 5ever

Birks are extremely well made and really do last for a long time. While the price is a bit steep, they really are an investment for your closet.

. They just have good vibes

Tell me you're unhappy while wearing Birks. You can't. They're that amazing
