We can all agree that this past week here in the United States has been the most insane in a long time. I've never seen people all over social media split between one side or the other. One side (Trump supporters) condemns Hillary Clinton for getting away with her emails, while others are happy that she was found innocent and that her innocence will lead her to the race for president.
Than you have the tragic events that took place in Baton Rouge, Minnesota, and Dallas. In Baton Rouge, Alton Sterling was shot and killed by two police officers, the same that happened to Philando Castile in Minnesota. This led to movements against these killings all across the United States. A movement in Dallas turned tragic when trained Army veteran, Micah Johnson, went on a shooting rampage and killed 5 police officers and injuring 11, while also injuring citizens who were a part of the movement.
Now and I can sit here and write out each of these events, piece by piece, but I don't want you guys to sit here and read an essay, I want to keep this short and sweet.
2016 is already one of the most disgusting years that I have ever experienced. The tragic deaths of talented artist and iconic figures, the Brexit, and the past months of horrific shootings that took place in the United States.
With the emails that Hillary was involved in, and her not being charged for it, did it really come as a surprise that she was going to get away with it? And if she was charged, its not like Trump was going to win the presidency in July. The democratic party would've just found another person to go against Trump.
With the upcoming election, vote for whoever you feel will do the best job in leading our country, whether that be Clinton, Trump, or a surprise write-in.
Now as for the events that have recently taken place. You can agree with me, you can disagree with me. This is my honest opinion and I am going to stick by it.
What happened in Baton Rouge, Minnesota, and Dallas is horrible and it is absolutely disgusting how the media is playing out these events and splitting people up into two teams of defending the lives of blacks, and defending the lives of the police. To those on opposing teams, you have to understand that each of your lives matters.
Now don't start a campaign to have me killed. I'm not on here to say that I'm one of those "All Lives Matters" people. I've been backing the "Black Lives Matter" movement ever since Ferguson. But I also don't agree with brutality against police. Yes, we have bad cops, but we have good cops that are just trying to do their jobs and make a living for themselves and their families. The deaths on both sides put a fatal blow to the families of those killed from the past shootings.
It's time that we start preaching love and respect for one another, something that I'm still learning to do. Let's stop trying to act out violence and revenge, and let's practice love and peace.
And one more thing. To add to the crazy events, we can now catch Pokemon on our phones. And if you are out there catching them all, please be careful.
