No matter who wins the election, this has been a torrid election cycle and it will go down in infamy. Maybe not Pearl Harbor or JFK assassination infamy, but infamy for a different set of reasons.
These debates are not even debates. They have become a reality show. And not a good one like Survivor or The Amazing Race. The only thing missing is Jerry Springer instigating an all out brawl. It does not matter who wins or loses the debate, America has lost the debate and is on the verge of a brutal awakening in November pending the election result.
Hillary Clinton isn’t blameless, but most of the problems concern Donald Trump. He is not fit to be a member of a high school model UN club, let alone president of the United States. This is like a Garage Sale where no one wants to buy anything America is selling. We are stuck with these two as our options. Personally for me there is only one right answer. I respect everyone’s political opinions, but this is not your usual election where both candidates have a number of selling points. In this case, both candidates have a lot of red flags, but at least one of them has actual political experience while the other is treating this like a game and likes to treat people in general like garbage.
The debates are supposed to help voters decide which of the remaining candidates is the best fit for the position of President of the United States. So far all they have done is given us more reason to despise both candidates and give viewers more reasons to vote third party. If any positive came out of this, viewers received a positive emblem of the 2016 election: Ken Bone, an undecided voter with a great taste in sweaters.
They are no longer a reliable source of information for me to cast my vote. It is a waste of my time, and time for every American comes at a premium. Especially with today's technology I can look up anything important I might have missed. And if what we've seen so far is any indication, we won't miss much. But if you feel like it's entertaining, like a bad WWE special, you do you.
