It’s the most wonderful time of the year. This is the time of year that everyone begins to change, it’s almost as if the country takes a chill pill and decides to be nice to one another. For once the people you pass on the street wave at you, and the man who almost runs you over sends an apologetic look. The ugliest Christmas sweaters (and beanies) suddenly come flying off of runways. Eating a ridiculous amount of Christmas cookies is now considered a talent.
Whatever it is, this makes Christmas the most delightful time of the year. Along with this, there is also amazing music. Here is a list of my favorite Christmas jams to rock out to after your heavy Thanksgiving weekend.
All I Want For Christmas Is You
For those true romantics, the holidays are amazing. Cuddles are welcomed, and so are long hugs. Everything is all good with the world. Now go serenade that special person!
White Christmas
Whether you adore Bing Crosby or Michael Buble, White Christmas is the perfect Christmas Eve song. I grew up not seeing snow, so when I passed my first Christmas in Montana it was a dream come true. The snow was as bright as Santa’s beard and as soft as some shaved ice.
Jingle Bell Rock
I just started listening to this song because of Mean Girls, great song though.
Feliz Navidad
This is my jam, my siblings and I listen to it every Christmas. Being Latino but raised in the U.S, I find a strange comfort knowing that I can sing both parts equally as loud and as obnoxiously.
Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer
With the sickness season here, for a temporary period we all become Rudolph. Through my runny nose and puffy eyes, you will find me screeching this song.
If you haven’t noticed, I completely adore Christmas. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas season. This isn’t the last you’ll hear from me.
