I am not trying to quote Camus' characteristic literary work here, the article is about communication. When man was simple or I must say, man lived by simpler means, communication was a simple thing. I used simple thrice in that sentence, maybe because it hardens my heart thinking how difficult that 'really' has become. Now, you may say that we have all kinds of social networking websites, dating websites etc. hovering around us with their inherent ability to organize distraction and meticulously spin facts around the clock. There was indeed a time, when communication used to be deep, personal, effective and way more genuine. Each of those adjectives remind me of the fact or the question 'when did we all lose it?'. If a person is confronted by different forms of the truth at different annals of time throughout the day or a singular truth during the whole time, he would obviously choose the later. Reason being, man has the ability to conclude through observation a certain beginning and a certain end. Coming back to communication, our creator has bestowed in us the most beautiful machine capable of great feats of physical and mental prowess, our body. The five senses that deliver us our personal truth is indeed a miracle in its own way, but the present situation has given rise to another sense. I call this fiend 'the virtual machine'. Now my Computer Science geeks would be telling me, ohh! that's just an interface. I being a chemical engineer, would try to describe the exchange through and the effectiveness. But to act as a good steward of information, we must remind ourselves that the virtual machine is not us after all. It is a character composed by a lot of different factors acting on us on a day to day basis that would try to make us socially more acceptable. While it remains virtual, the person behind it and the effects on the person are unmistakably human. It has crept into our work place, relationships, life style, personalities and more so. Nobody can deny the fact that today, we live a part of our lives on cell phones, computers, laptops and other kinky devices that have designed by the marvels of science. This exudes a considerable part of our energy and increases our threshold of contentment. For example, our actors often point out the different between real lives and reel lives, which apply to us in some ways too. Making truly good connections is a matter of pride and being more humane, and existing at one with the world. Do our devices really help in that? If our powers of observations still continue to serve us well, we will notice that reality is just not real anymore or is it too real. This has arisen because the virtual machine, our the virtual world has encompassed and infiltrated most of the unique freedoms that our mind had over facts and knowledge. Believing in something because it was posted on social media, taking important decisions because a certain cult or group has chosen so or the rising rates of depression among people in the first world countries are all examples of the fact that as time is passing by, we are becoming more and more nuclear. The nucleus of something gives rise to life, but this nucleus only serves to bind us Stephen Hawking says' Technology will one day lead to the destruction of mankind' . I am starting to get the idea for flavor of that idea at least. We are swaying away from a more deeper personal touch to a m way more virtual and systematic more of interaction that in the end creates either great miracles or bitter truths. The key in understanding the damage is to look around us and see.... 'oh! i know this guy, he is the one who posted that on Facebook. He must be like that person portrayed in that post'. It gives a sense that just being judgmental is starting to become an order of the day, and we are slowly drifting apart from the reality that is us. You can ask yourselves the following questions... when was the last time you had a conversation with someone that truly changed your life? When was the last time that you totally focused on a homework submission without looking once into your phone(this must be true). When was the last time that you read a book that had a more lasting impact on your life than the next whatsapp message sent to you by your crush and you trust felt the power of the words of that book. Reach out to people , to nature, to the spirit within you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
