A Little Seed

It all started out,

With a little seed

That wanted to get to the surface

So that it could breathe.

But inside this seed

Was a deadly flower.

That if it don't die early

Other seeds It will devour.

It was gonna die

Before it started to grow

But somehow

Lil leaves started to show.

It started to get water,

It started to get sun

And I have to confess,

It's me, I'm the one

That knew why it's growing

That knew it's purpose

And there was no reason

For it to even touch the surface.

And when I read the package

The package, it said, SIN,

And sin should have never been cultivated in my garden.

I gave it much attention

Gave it much care

And wonder why buds are sprouting here and buds are sprouting there.

And top of that

I fed it fertilizer

But today, I made up my mind

To throw that flower in the fire

It's kind of like FarmVille

I ignore the seed it dies.

But when I show it I care,

It will surely rise.
