Dear Big,
I am trying not to make this a love letter but I do love you a whole lot. Even though your identity has not been revealed, you mean the world to me. It has been one long month of uncertainty but recently I came to the realization that all of my sisters are beautiful human beings and everything will work out for the best.
I wish to tell you that you have already made a difference in my life. You told me to, “Embrace the glorious mess that I am.” Little did you know that is one of my favorite quotes and hearing it from someone who means so much to me made it even more inspirational. So thank you for allowing me to be myself because let’s be honest, I am a mess, but with your help I am learning to embrace it.
Because I am a “glorious mess,” I will be coming to you a lot for advice, and sometimes, simply reassurance. And I pray that you will come to me too. This relationship is a two way street and I want to be here for you when you are broken hearted and when you are overflowing with joy because you passed your test you stayed up all night studying for (we will go get ice-cream for both sorrowful events and exciting occasions like those). I promise to listen and when you don't want to talk I promise to just be still.
I promise to never judge you, so you can tell me anything. We all make mistakes and frankly I have made quite a few. I wish for you to never be afraid around me because I have seen a lot and can handle a lot. So let your pages be read, I promise not to rip them out and take them with me, I will simply flip through them with care. And when I am done, I will close the book and hand it back to you because this is your story and you deserve to only share it with the people you choose. I promise I will not tell anyone.
Lastly, I promise to love you for you. I want you to always be yourself around me because everyone is different and hiding your individuality only makes you less you. Why would you want to become less of yourself? “You are precious and brighter than all light, you carry wonder in your eyes and beauty in your soul. You have freedom in your step and you don't fear dancing in the rain. You are light and grace, you are lovely and free.”
Until reveal,
Your Little
