Why Are We Still talking About Steve Harvey?

Everyone has heard by now the famous 58-year-old comedian and game show host Steve Harvey made the tragic mistake by announcing Miss Colombia as Miss Universe when it was actually Miss Philippines who won. Miss Columbia was stripped of her crown and then it was placed upon Miss Philippines. Many Colombian fans were infuriated with the mistake.

Although Harvey survived after making the mistake, that didn't stop social media and many other celebrities. Twitter is very well known for taking a small issue and turning it into a joke. Nothing was too harsh for the star, but very entertaining. The hashtag #Steveharvey is still a hit on social media and that had Harvey's mistake trending. The hashtags and tweets became so big that Harvey himself even chimed in on the jokes by posting a picture of himself on twitter Christmas morning with the caption reading: "Merry Easter." This only goes to show Harvey's good character and why the pageant overlooked Harvey's mistake. The latest shot blown at Harvey was Kanye West diss in his latest track "Facts" when he said “Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget the names just like Steve Harvey?”

Many people may have thought this was a huge setback for the star, but, according to ET, the mistake was not a huge loss at all. The Miss Universe pageant production thought of Harvey as a great host and, although Harvey was incredibly embarrassed and apologized for announcing the wrong winner, a source close to the production announced that Harvey had already signed a multi-million dollar deal to be the host for the Miss Universe pageant many more years to come. It seems as if this "mistake" of Harvey did no damage to his career. Everyone knows of the hilarious star and he has had no previous mess ups until this point. I think that we can all conclude that this was not a publicity stunt but it surely has helped his publicity. Yet, by Harvey making this mistake many people have become pretty critical. Many people like Perez Hilton who had a lot of words to say about Harvey and his mistake. Could this just be that Perez is jealous that he was not the host of the pageant this year? He sure did have a lot to say during his interviews with US Magazine and Huffington post.

Catching up with the social gossip following the aftermath of the event. According to Perez Hilton he had a lot to say concerning the mistake and the Miss Diva Colombia . Stating statements such as he knew there was a mistake when Harvey called Miss Colombia's name because he knew none of the judges had voted for her. He claimed her responses to the questions were not right and she came off as arrogant. Many of the gossip magazines and Huffington Post are reporting interviews of Perez Hilton slamming both Harvey and Miss Colombia. It seems as if Hilton has a bit of a jealous streak. He told US magazine that Harvey's mistake took the spotlight off of his "[Donald] Trump moment earlier in the telecast that nobody remembers now because of everything that happened." Seems like Perez needs to let go of some of that jealousy because Harvey is not going anywhere and we can surely expect to see him again perhaps with some more controversy that'll stir up our gossip world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
