As a college student having a budget is important, and being a fan of makeup takes a big chunk of that budget. On occasions (like at Christmas time) I can give myself a well-deserved treat with a trip to Sephora or Ulta and to buy a little high-end brand like Too Faced or Kat Von D, but today I’m bringing you tips of what you can buy to have a full-face of makeup that is not going to cost you a kidney

Primer

For me, primer is very important, not only because it makes your foundation last way longer (if you have an oily face like me, you may have to remove a little bit of the natural oil of your face every 4 hours) but it makes your foundation set better. Elf is a brand that has been on the market for a long time, but in my opinion, they have stepped it up a lot with the formula and they now have better products. This primer is from Elf and is available at Target for $5.79.

Foundation.

This foundation (I use it myself) is so good. It is full coverage and lasts a long time and for me, as someone with oily skin, it is very gentle and doesn’t clog my pores. This option is from L’Oréal and is available at Target for $10.79.

    Eyebrows.

For me, eyebrows are the most important feature of your face. It doesn’t matter if you have an expensive foundation that makes your face look perfect if you don’t have the right color or right product for your face your makeup is not going to look complete. You have two options: there is a powder option and a pomade option. In my case, I love to make a perfect arch and pomade is very easy to use but I have to admit that you need practice to achieve perfect eyebrows. This option (and my personal favorite) is from NYX available at Target for $6.99

    Concealer.

This concealer is the most amazing discovery ever, it is very light but is full coverage and lasts a long time. This option is from Maybelline and is available at Target for $6.79

    Setting powder.

This is an important step in the makeup process, it is important to set everything to avoid wrinkles and to make your makeup look finished. You can use compact powder or loose powder; my personal favorite is loose powder because I feel it covers a little bit more. This option is from Covergirl and is available at Target for $5.89

    Contour.

I have to admit that contour is not for everyone because at first it is hard to know how to apply it and where, but after a lot of makeup tutorials I think I got the hang of it. This option that Elf came out with I think is the safest option to start with and for me works perfectly, this option is from Elf and is available at Target for $3.99.

    Blush.

The blush is completely up to you and your skin color, I am Caucasian and I always lean tours a light pink or peach color. This option if from NYX and is available at Target for $6.49.

    Mascara.

This step is also important because it makes your eyes look finished and makes your eyeshadow (which I will speak about in another article) pop. This option is from Rimmel and is available at Target for $4.99.

    Lips

Finally, this last step is the one that completes your makeup, you can be as bold as you want or as a conservative as you wish too, personally I always lean towards a more brownish color or a nude, I also like matte colors but in winter is not going to be the best option because it dries out your lips. This option is from NYX and it is available at Target for $5.99.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
