Growing up sucks. It really does. But there's a point where you will begin to understand that growing up means that you get to be yourself more and more. Don't get upset because of small things that happen, especially in high school. It will all be meaningless in a few years. Junior and senior year of high school may seem like the end of the world when it's happening, but trust me, it's not. It's just the beginning. You will start to find out what you like to do and who you want to be. Try not to only focus on the social part of high school, but also learning about yourself and doing other things that will allow you to grow. Take the next two years to focus on yourself and don't take anyone's judgements personally.
So many people think by the time you graduate high school, you should know exactly what you're doing and where you're going with your life. That's not the case though. It's okay if you don't know what you want to devote your life to at the age of eighteen. You might go to college wanting to study one thing and end up getting a degree in something completely different. You still have your whole life ahead of you to meet new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime. People will lie and erase you from their life just because it's easier for them than fixing your relationship. Don't worry about things you have no control over, it's just a waste of your time to focus on your goals and dreams.
It can be scary to think ahead about what you're going to do after high school, but just try and live in the moment. Live each day for what it is, create something, express yourself. Don't hold back because you're afraid of being judged or ridiculed, it's all a part of growing. Accept criticism and don't take things so personally, realize that everyone has a different opinion and there's nothing you can do to change it. Ultimately, live for yourself and follow all of your dreams. No matter what.
