1. Go to class!
It is very important that you go to class. Don’t listen to other people, because everyone’s professor is not the same. Not going to class can really reflect on your grade! Please don't wait until the end of the school year to have perfect attendance.
2. Everyone is not your friend.
Be careful coming into college being friendly. Of course your a freshman and you're going to be anxious to meet everyone on campus. Just be very aware of who you hang with. You are going to meet people and later on you will realize that person was never your friend. It’s sad but that’s just how the cookie crumbles.3. Don’t Procrastinate.
Please don’t wait the night before to do your assignment, if it’s due tomorrow and think you’re going to receive an A. If you start on your assignment when it is given to you, you will enough time to critique and get help with your assignment.
4. Boys.
Please! Please! Please be careful with catching feelings or dealing with boys at your school. Most teens do not come into college thinking “I’m ready to meet my future wife/husband.” They come in thinking about all the parties and all the numbers that they are going to get. If a guy is telling you something off the wall or giving hints that he wants to go to the next level, just be careful because there are boys that are pros at telling girls what they want to hear and don’t mean anything that they said! I’m telling you guys this so you won’t be heart broken.
5. Parties/kickbacks.
Well, well, well. We all love college parties, right? But we also need to be careful. Do not set your drink down. If you do, just get another one. Be careful with meeting new guys at those parties as well, do not go home with them (yes miss ma'am I’m talking to you). Yes, I know he might be cute and talking a good game, but at the same time, you barely know him -- and he barely knows you.
Hope you guys take heed of this advice, because this is very serious. Hoping you guys have a very fantastic school year as college freshmen!
