If you put your life into the retrospect of the world around you it can seem so short and fragile, but the simple fact is we were born in a world full of possibilities. We can choose to sit at home, watch TV, and fall asleep in our own beds each night knowing exactly what our future entails - or we can go out and adventure.

1. To one day have the freedom to own a world map attached to a dartboard so you can hit the target and book a flight all in a matter of seconds.

Granted, I'm not sure what I'd do if it landed in the middle of the Pacific ocean, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

2. To travel the world with your best friend.

Late texts of "You'll never believe what I did today." are finally "Wow, I can't believe we did that today."

3. To rough it for a {little} while.

Who wants to set up a gofundme for a Volkswagen van so we can travel across the country and never stop for second. Also, falling asleep on the ride home has never been better.

4. To stand on top of the world.

Views by Drake plays on repeat.

5. Or explore the bottom of it.

Basically every childhood dream come true since Finding Nemo came out - just keep swimming.

6. Experience the world in another culture.

The world's an entirely different place when you look at it from someone else's shoes.

7. Meet the person who inspires you.

And hopefully learn from them and maybe become someone who one day inspires someone else.

8. Love on all the world's creatures.

If it has 4 legs, fur, and good intentions - let me pet it.

9. Cuddle in the Coldest City.

"Baby it's cold outside" can be your theme song.

10. Eat ice cream in the hottest one.

I'll probably look like a lobster by the end of the day but this chocolate vanilla swirl will make it all well worth it.

11. Fall asleep to world's prettiest sunset.

Followed by billions of stars to wake up to in the middle of the night.

12. Wake up to an even more breathtaking view.

If you're not a morning person, I promise a sunrise like this might just convert you.

13. Be happy in the world we live in.

"It's the little things in life." It is the little things - like inside jokes, coffee dates, and late nights. But it's also a sky full of stars, a 7 mile hike for a sunset, a hidden waterfall on the hottest day in June, and a life completely worth living.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
