Your obsession started when you were three years old and saw all these princesses in big poofy dresses and princes dressed to the nines falling for the love of their life. As a little kid you dreamed about being that princess that could meet a prince, fall in love, get married, live in a giant castle, and rule a kingdom. Well now being an adult we see Disney movies in a different light. Here are some ways adults who grew up with Disney movies watch them today.
1.) The Little Mermaid
Sixteen year old girl who doesn't listen to her parents and runs away from home because she thinks she isn't a child anymore. Like we haven't heard that one before.
2.) Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
Thinks it's okay to live in a small house with seven guys who you've just met in the in the middle of the woods by walking into a strangers house. Smart.
3.) Hercules
Meg plays herself off to be a damsel in distress to get the hot guy with all the muscles that can fend off any bad guy that comes around. Yet she takes orders from some hot head. Question though, Meg where are your parents? Obviously not doing their job.

4.) Tarzan
So I understand that Jane and her father went to Africa for scientific purposes. In the end Jane fell for the jungle man which is fine but didn't she think it was a little weird that she left a civilized world to live in the jungle in Africa with a jungle man and a family of gorillas?
5.) Finding Nemo
A disobedient child who doesn't listen to their parent. What were you thinking?
6.) Tangled
Girl kidnapped by some strange women and locked in the highest tower. Then here comes some thief who breaks into her home. Yet she trusts the guy who just broke into her home to help her with her long life wish. Girl I know you've been locked in a tower your whole life, torn from society but let's be serious.
7.) Brave
From this I learned that you can't actually turn your mom into a bear just because you are a frustrated and difficult teenager.
8.) Mulan
Granted, it is beginning to become socially acceptable for girls to dress and act like men but I don't think Mulan completely thought through the bathing factor of being around an army of men.
9.) Cinderella
I always felt bad for Cinderella because she lost both of her parents and was left with an evil stepmother and two terrible step-sisters. But honestly you can't fall in love with someone you met for all of five minutes during your first dance with each other. Love doesn't work that way.
10.) Sleeping Beauty
Fell in love with a guy she met in the woods then found out on her birthday that she is a princess and set to rule a whole kingdom. You just got everything every girl has ever dreamed of so why are you crying?
11.) Beauty and the Beast
So a beautiful book worm fell in love with the guy who is guarded because of his appearance. Then she sticks up for him when the villagers are trying to kill him. Didn't it ever cross her mind how wrong it is that the beast kidnapped her and her father?
12.) Aladdin
There is definitely nothing wrong with falling in love with a homeless man you met in a market in the process of stealing food then to also marry the man that deceived you into thinking he was a prince just to win your heart when all along he was the homeless thief from the market. Okay Jasmine.
13.) The Lion King
Another child who thinks that he knows best compared to his parents who are giving him a kingdom. Oh Simba you were very egotistical.
14.) Pocahontas
Yet another girl who fell in love with a stranger and defied her parents wishes to be with the person despite their very prominent cultural differences. The one thing I never understood is that Meeko is a raccoon and they are nocturnal. So isn't weird that he is with Pocahontas in the daylight? Pocahontas should have thought about checking him for rabies.
15.) Frozen
Finally!! A movie about love that doesn't end with the princess falling in love with the prince and his true love waking or breaking her from some kind of curse. For the first time the true love of a sibling broke the curse!
In the end were still going to watch each movie over and over again while singing along to our favorite songs as loud we can. Because yes we are adults, but inside we are still those little kids who still get giddy over the love story but now realize what the difference is between realistic and unrealistic ways the world and relationships work.
