There is something to be said about someone who is obsessed with Disney. Maybe it is the magic, maybe it is the childhood memories it brings back, but people who still love Disney have a happier life because they have something to believe in. I will fully admit that I am an adult and I am still as obsessed with Disney as I was back when I was a kid. For me, it is more than just than just the movies or the theme parks. It is the whole idea that magic really exists and that there is always going to be a happily ever after in life.
When life gets rough, Disney is a great way to unwind and feel like a kid again. Maybe it is just me, maybe it is because I am a child at heart, but putting on Aladdin or The Little Mermaid and singing and dancing along to every song makes me extremely happy. When I get overwhelmed it feels good to be able to put on a movie and feel like a child again, feel the stress melt away, and feel better.
We all want to find that love we saw in Disney growing up. Whether it be a friendship love like Winnie the Pooh and Piglet or a romantic love like Cinderella and Prince Charming, we see it in the movies and we crave it. Disney gives us that spark of hope to find someone who will complete the love that we want. We want the lifelong friendships and prince or princess we have been searching for. Disney makes us realize that if we wait, someday our prince will come, true love will find us and our dreams will come true
What would Disney be without magic? The happy endings, the fairy dust, the beautiful gowns, and sparkly crowns. The dancing, the singing; everything about Disney deals with magic. The magic of love, the magic in friendships, the magic is everywhere. Magic is what makes us walk into Disney World as adults and scream when we see Mickey Mouse. Magic is what makes us feel like kids when we turn on Cinderella or Mulan and sing along to every song. Magic is what makes us realize that no matter how old we are, we are never too old to fall in love with Disney all over again.
Disney does a wonderful job of giving people something to believe in. When we were younger, we believed that we could grow up to become a prince or princess. As we become adults, we realize that while that may not be a reality, we certainly can still be treated like royalty. We realize that Disney still gives us something to believe in. We believe in the magic, we believe in the love, we believe in the happily ever after that we all dream of having in life, and we believe in Disney.
