Normally, when people think of healthy living, diet and exercise come to mind. In reality, there's a lot that contributes to a healthy mind, body and lifestyle. Waking up every morning in a motivating and healthy mindset will encourage you to strive and prosper in the highest of ways. Leading a healthy life is not easy and it requires a lot of effort. With the right amount of time and drive, you can accomplish the most of your days.

Before anything, organize everything!

Arrangement and preparation play a huge part of our everyday moods; sometimes without us even knowing it. Keeping an everyday planner or journal with to-do lists will motivate you to actually get things done to achieve the satisfaction of crossing them off at the end of the day. The gratification of getting things done is unlike any other motivating force. It will encourage you to continue getting things done, furthering and bettering yourself in the process. Don't stop at to-do lists; organize your room and everything in it. An orderly environment means an orderly mind.

Organization can be done in physical methods, like the one mentioned above, or it can mean keeping tabs on life outside your own space. The people that surround you can have great and long-lasting effects.

Humans are naturally emotional; the types of people around us can push us to reach our goals or they can keep us from them. Keep tabs on your life with others. If someone you see every day is a Negative Nancy, they are setting an imposed example on you. Surround yourself with positive and motivating people who will encourage you to better yourself. Cut out those who make you feel any less than you are; they are just heavy anchors holding you from blooming.

Mental health is insanely important. A lot of us are caught up on things that at the end of the day, don't truly matter; we've only convinced ourselves they do because of our unhealthy way of thinking.

A great thing to turn to is meditation. When mediation is brought up, a lot of people tend to dismiss the suggestion. Meditation is not something that has to be done every day, nor does it have to be done for hours in order for it to be effective. It can be as simple as taking a few minutes before bed to get in your mind space. Think about what you did in the day, what you did well and congratulate yourself for it. Think about what you could've done better and motivate yourself to do so.

Practicing healthy habits will make a huge difference in your everyday life. With enough time, all of these things will come naturally and the benefits will last a lifetime!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
