How could someone else's happiness disrupt yours?

Imagine... A world with love.

Everyone always talks about standing up for what they believe in and wanting to be happy, but there are so many things in the world that stop it from being like that. As a writer, I have heard that I need to stay up on the latest of all. But I personally hate to read the paper or watch the news because all you will ever see is negative or horrible things that happen.

Everyone in this world wants the same thing. They want to live their life to their expectations, be happy and enjoy life with the ones they love. For some reason, some people think that if one set of people are happy, it will stop them from having it. How? If

How does one person's happiness stop someone else from being happy?

That question has NO answer. Not really. Imagine if people were only concerned with themselves. Imagine if laws were made to help people and not to allow or ban a specific set of people's life.

Imagine if we stop putting definitions of beauty, wealth, and happiness. It's ridiculous how many people equate happiness and wealth to money. And define beauty as a set boxed in type. These are the things that cause some people to be depressed because they cannot live up to certain standards, while others are trolled for not living up to them.

It's okay to be original, it's okay to be different. Imagine a world where we all wore what made us feel comfortable with no judgment (I'm sure I would be wearing the same things, I'm already that person). But imagine how many feet would be saved from bunions and ankles saved from being twisted. (I am that girl that used to fall on my ankle in heels.)

So I say all this to say...

Be you, no one can be a better you than you. And those who troll others because of their insecurities or just to be mean, find some joy in your life. Find out why you are miserable and fix it. Stop talking down on someone simply because it's something you cannot understand or choose not to. Imagine a world that was based on love and not hate. Helping build others up instead of tearing people down. I think the world would be a way better and healthier place.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
