9 Unmissable Quotes From The Presidential Debate
NBC

This year's first presidential debate was nothing less than hilarious. While both candidates touched upon some good topics, the event almost seemed like late night satire rather than a presidential debate. Interruptions, lies, and burns kept coming at a rapid pace throughout the debate. If you didn't tune in the other night, here are some quotes that you have missed.

1) “Donald, I know you live in your own reality, but those are not the facts.” -Clinton

I have to give props to Secretary Clinton during the debate for not losing her cool and staying poised while Trump, slowly but surely, got angrier.

2. "I think my strongest asset by far is my temperament. I have a winning temperament."- Trump

Trump tried to back up his statement that his best quality was his temperament, which I can confidently say gave the whole country a chuckle, Trump fan or not.

3. "I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate. And, yes, I did. You know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president. And I think that's a good thing."-Clinton

By far, the best and most professionally crafted dig of the entire debate. This line proves that she has the control to debate without throwing pitchforks in the competitors back.

4. “That makes me smart.”- Trump

This was Trump's response to Clinton saying that he might not pay for federal taxes. Need I say more?

5. “I call it 'Trumped Up, Trickle Down' because that's exactly what it would be.”-Clinton

Clinton says this about Trump's financial plan. She is trying to create a saying that will stick with the voters watching. Did it work? That’s debatable.

6. Clinton: "I had a feeling by the end of this evening that I'd be blamed for everything."

Trump: "Why not?”

This quote made Trump look defensive and foolish. He doesn’t seem to know what he was specifically saying.

7. "Donald, it's good to be with you."-Clinton

Another point to Clinton. She decided to still greet him with respect and a smile on her face.

8. “It could have been Russia. It could be China. It could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds.”

Clearly Trump is just so sensitive right?

9. "This is a man who has called women pigs, slobs and dogs and someone who has said pregnancy is an inconvenience to employers, who has said that women don't deserve equal pay unless they do as good a job as men."-Clinton

This quote from Secretary Clinton summed up America’s republican candidate for president. If this counts as “good temperament” then I do not want to know what his bad side looks like.

All I have to say is, Good luck America. Choose wisely.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
