Last week, the show, "Hannah Montana" first premiered on Disney Channel on March 24, 2006. 10 years ago we met the girl who had the best of both worlds and her crazy life trying to be a normal girl who was Miley Stewart by day, and Hannah Montana by night. Although this show has been off the air for ten years, the song, "Nobody's Perfect," the show's wacky episode plots, and let's be honest, the "Hannah Montana Movie," which tore our tween hearts to pieces in the theaters, I find all of it to still ring true in my college endeavors. So with that, here are 12 times when "Hannah Montana" perfectly described my college struggles.
1. It's the first day of class. You are no longer a high school girl, but a college girl...
You have been waiting and training for this moment.
2. And you see your first batch of college frat boys in your first class.
Sweet Nibblets.
3. Then your Professor ruins the glorious moment by assigning the longest assignment you have ever heard of in your life.
Well, this wasn't in the college pamphlet...
4. And of course, it is due right before the big party tonight.
College can be so cruel.
5. And...you are sure you are going to fail the assignment. Terribly.
Hey, "Nobody's Perfect" right?
6. I guess this is what you get for taking an 8 a.m. class.
We all have had this struggle once or twice... or maybe every day.
7. Maybe some comfort food will help soften the blow.
I see where the term, "Freshmen 15" comes into play now...
8. Where is your best friend when you need them?
Seriously, where is she?
9. But guess what? You actually did okay on your first college assignment!
As Robbie Ray would say, "Eee Doggies!" Bless the college professor Gods for this joyous occasion.
10. I guess college is not so bad after all.
I think I will enjoy these next few years.
11. Until week two hits.
I guess we will see how this goes.
12. Maybe I'll just become a Pop Star instead.
Then I'll have the best of all worlds.
