A bond between sisters is unlike any other.

They have a deep connection that is sometimes hard to understand. Sisters will fight and disagree 24/7 but in the end, they always have each others' backs. They grew up under the same roof with the same set of rules which is why sisters make the best friends.

Such as:

1. Family gatherings are so much more fun.

Imagine having your best friend at every family party and event. You always have someone around to keep things interesting when family gatherings become stale, which they always do. Your sister is also always there to jump in and change the subject anytime a family member starts questioning you about school or your love life (which you generally like to avoid).

2. Her closet is your closet (and vice versa).

I consider it a blessing that my sister and I can wear the same sizes in clothes and shoes. It's awesome except for the times when you suddenly see your sister wearing your favorite shirt in her latest Instagram and she didn't even ask you first.

3. You'll never have to go anywhere or do anything alone

Whether you're going shopping, to a concert, or just want to get lunch, you'll aways have someone to go out with you.

4. You can get in a fight, and be perfectly fine five minutes later.

Unlike regular best friends, sisters don't hold grudges. One minute you could be having a screaming match about who ate the last piece of pie and the next minute you'll act like nothing ever happened.

5. You both have the same weird sense of humor.

After over eighteen years together, you two have your fair share of inside jokes. It's not unusual for me to have tears streaming down my face because of something funny my sister did or said.

6. You have a language of your own.

After all those years of making hand signals and mouthing to each other behind mom and dad's backs, you two can now communicate with just a look.

7. You have the same friends (and enemies).

Because you two hang out so much her friends are yours and yours are hers. You're also obligated to hate the people she hates.

8. She understands you better than anyone else.

Growing up alongside you, your sister is the only one who had to obey the same rules set by your parents. She knows what it's like because she's lived it.

9. She'll always be there.

Some friends may come and go, but sisters are forever.
