"Skinny" is not always a compliment.

9 Things Naturally Thin People Are Tired Of Hearing

Please don't put your entire hand around my forearm.

1. “You need to eat something!” I do eat something. I eat everything. Please stop.

2. “How do you stay so thin?” Uhhh… genetics? Thanks mom.

3. “You’re already so thin, why are you going to the gym?” Because I care about my physical health. Heavier people are not necessarily out of shape, and thin people are not necessarily in shape. The gym is good for everybody.

4. “Men like meat, dogs like bones.” Is this something that people just say to make themselves feel better? Real men don’t judge girls based on their body type.

5. “You’re a twig/stick/etc.” Because comparing a person’s body to a plant is so flattering. This can be as insulting as calling someone fat.

6. “Nobody thinks thigh gaps are attractive.” Yeah, I can totally control that. See above.

7. “Why are your wrists so tiny?” Because I like wearing really small watches? Seriously, this question is so stupid.

8. “Real women have curves.” So you’re saying that I cannot possibly be a woman because I have small hips. Okay.

9. “You are so lucky that you’re naturally thin, you never have to worry about your body.” Actually, being thin does not exclude you from body image issues, especially when people continuously comment on your appearance.

Every body is different, every body is beautiful. Please be mindful when commenting on the appearances of others that what you see as a compliment may trigger another person's insecurities.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
