9 Things Every Incoming Senior In College Goes Through

Entering your senior year of college is something else, something of another animal. I thought that being a senior in high school was nerve wracking and exciting, but college? I can't even compare the two.

Here are things every college senior thinks while entering their senior year!

1. The heartbreak you endure with your split from your last summer break ever.

A bittersweet break up between you and your summer vacation; up next? The rest of your life.

2. Anxious about the hustle and bustle of your LAST college move-in day ever.

Running around, surrounded by gross sweaty people, all nervous and emotional about moving in. Let the games begin.

3. Seeing your friends again!

Being separated since May was very sad, stressful and in some cases... MUCH NEEDED (still love you though).

4. Buying books.

And as quickly as your money came, it will be gone. Just as if you are throwing it out the window.

5. Preparing your stomach for the adjustment of Student Center food.

Let the stomach pains and awkward tummy noises begin!

6. Also preparing for the LEGAL fun you will all have now that your whole friend group is 21.

Now to fight over who is the DD, since the designated driver is now of legal age...

7. Make your "New (School) Year's Resolution"

I will study 3 hours a day, I will go to the gym five days a week, I will stick to my diet, I will balance my work, social and romantic life; ugh...

8. Setting up your dorm room for the last time...

9. When you begin to realize how much you're going to miss school...

This is only the beginning of the end. I'm not crying, you're crying!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
