Long Beach, NY: home to the polar bear swim, Gino’s pizza, and Skudin Surf. Growing up in Long Beach was a pretty special experience. Especially if you experienced it as a '90s kid. These 9 things will stir up some nostalgia and make you proud to call #LBNYNOTCALI your home.

1. Witnessing the Reconstruction of Anchor Park.

2. Calling Key Foods Associated.

3. The Emergence of Synergy.

4. Going to Diner by The Sea-but not for their milkshakes (and maybe Blockbuster's afterward).

5. Watching the Skudin family and Skudin Surf become famous.

6. Eating TCBY on a hot summer day after coming back from the beach.

7. Mussel Monday's at Minnie's.

8. Hanging with Dottie at the Rec.
