Finals week is almost upon us. The week that we all dread but also anticipate because we can't wait for the break. Here are the nine stages that all students go through during finals week.
1. Denial.
Finals week? It's still a week away I've got plenty of time to study. I'm going to ace these finals. No worries.
2. Procrastination.
I know I need to be studying, but I also need to do my laundry, and pack for Christmas break, and clean my bedroom, and most importantly – watch Netflix.
3. Studying.
Oh, finals week is in three days. I should probably crack a textbook. I’ve still got plenty of time.
4. Slight panic.
I forgot how much content we covered this semester. This is a lot of material, but it's fine! I'll just buckle down for the next few days.
5. Sheer panic.
I've got this and four other finals to study for? There's no way I can get this much done. I'm going to fail.
6. Self-hatred.
I did this to myself. I should've started studying for finals back in August. I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I've done this to myself. This is exactly why I'm going to fail.
7. Meltdown.
Lots of crying and sobbing in this state. I guess I'm going to have to drop out of college. There's no way I'm going to pass.
8. Absolute fear.
My entire body is numb, but I’m taking this exam. I’m doing it. Here I am, taking this exam.
